School Bus
Our school bus provider is Acme Transport Services (01279 871707).
Please notify us as soon as possible regarding any changes for children going home by bus each term - It is also essential to keep us informed on a day to day basis if your child’s arrangements change.
Information on eligibility for school transport can be found on the Essex County council website including links to apply for transport.
If your child is going home for tea with a child who normally uses the school bus please call Acme to ensure that there is sufficient space on the bus for your child and to confirm payment requirements.
Transporting children on school activities
Depending on the event and number of children involved we may travel by coach or with the assistance of volunteer parents.
We greatly appreciate the time volunteered by parents to help us travel to sporting and curriculum related activities, which helps us to keep down the costs of participating in these enriching activities.
For all trips involving transport in cars please provide a booster seat if your child is less than 135 cm tall - please check the GOV.UK website for the current regulations on car seats
If you are able to help transport children in your car for school activities please could you complete the safeguarding checks proforma to confirm your details, and the availability of essential driving documents (licence, MOT, insurance) for our records; and provide us with a copy of your current insurance certificate.
Please note: we have revised the check form as we now need to ask you for a driving licence check code as we have to check your online driving licence details and we do need to refresh this every 6 months.
